Part of a long relationship with Saks Fifth Avenue, this series of stores represents a new generation of shopping environments, one designed to emphasize the brand’s 90-year heritage as an iconic luxury brand while simultaneously demonstrating its focus on the future. Ground-up projects in San Juan, PR, and Sarasota, FL, as well as renovations of locations in Beverly Hills and South Florida, prove particularly emblematic. The San Juan and Sarasota stores feature bold façades inspired by mid-20th-century tropical modernism. Plant-covered living stonewalls at ground level give way to glazing shaded by a bronze-toned brise-soleil above, creating a striking and iconic brand profile. Inside each location, natural sunlight gently filters through the brise-soleil into the store’s most special spaces, including a sumptuous café and private-shopping suite.
