Designed to display the homeowner’s important collection of 20th-century and contemporary photography, this two-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot apartment on Manhattan’s Central Park West exhibits a distinct gallery-like atmosphere. In its public spaces, which comprise an entry hall and living and dining areas, creamy-gray poured-terrazzo floors and white walls combine with lighting specifically designed to highlight the artworks. In contrast, the private spaces, including the master suite, are finished in muted, natural tones. The bleached-wood floors, Venetian plaster, limestone and French oak of these rooms create more personal, intimate environments.
