NEW YORK, NY // West Hollywood, CA

Armani Casa Flagships

These stores introduced Giorgio Armani’s new Armani Casa home collection to the U.S. market. For the inaugural location, in New York’s SoHo district, Mr. Armani found inspiration in the neighborhood’s distinctive lofts. Their aesthetic and atmosphere translated into a design characterized by open spaces, concrete floors and strong, sculptural shapes — a concept continued at the second shop, in West Hollywood. Both locations use large, prominent skylights to illuminate and give form to spare white-on-white spaces. In New York, a dramatic glass-and-stone staircase sits beneath an angled skylight filling the full width of the store, while in West Hollywood low walls divide a single level into distinct areas for different product categories, with each zone lit from above by a pyramid-shaped skylight.
