Rhinebeck Residence

This 4,500 sf residence is currently in construction. On a hilltop site overlooking the Hudson River, the home is designed to capture the site’s expansive views of the river and the Catskill Mountain range beyond. An existing structure is gutted and redesigned, and a new structure is added with a double height glass connecting space that serves as the new entry point and encloses a new grand stair connecting all levels. The view is not immediately apparent to a first time visitor, but unfolds as you ascend the staircase to the second level living spaces, where each area is conceived to frame the spectacular views.
